I have not visited my blog lately since I was away from home for a couple of days. I stayed in my office since it is most convenient for me, no need to transpo, aircon, less noise and I don't have to endure the heat every noon. I am 20 weeks and two days pregnant today. Basically, its already five months. I can now feel fetal movement. The first time I felt it, I almost cried. It is an affirmation that I really have a new life growing inside me. It is an overwhelming experience, more than a positive pregnancy test or the sound of the fetal heartbeat. The movement is not that strong yet to be felt outside but significant enough for me to know that it was really our Baby moving. The feeling is better now compared to the first trimester of pregnancy. Although i'm getting a lot of backaches and leg cramps, it is still tolerable and avoidable.
Aside from the monthly visit to my OB, I also get a lot of help from the book What to Expect When You're Expecting by Heidi Murkoff, Arlene Eisenberg and Sandee Hathaway. It has a lot of information that you can never get from your doctor alone, questions you never thought should be asked but you'll get answers from the book and also what you should expect and what to do during pregnancy. I recommend this book to all of the mothers-to-be.
