Fix You

While riding the jeep to Ayala, I heard this song...it made me sad.

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse.

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And the tears stream, down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face and I...

And the tears stream, down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face and I...

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

I Love My Cross Stitch!

Here are a few designs I did this vacation. Smile design, I made a personalize Valentine card with this design as the cover for Sis Elaine and Mariane. I hope they will meet someone who will make them smile forever.

Second is patch my broken heart design, which was given to Sis Jhongkie, attached to my personalize Valentine card with the message, I hope someday you’ll find that person who will mend your heart.

I’m working now on this design. My husband had chosen this for me to do. Its cool, its like me and him…on a comical way…hehehe! After this I am planning to start my Baby Kitin’s picture. I already have the pattern but I have to finish this one first.

Plain Housewife No More

I have to work, I have to work, I have to work….staying at home makes me crazy! By next month I need to work. I’m not really a plain housewife material. The only useful thing I do here is prepare breakfast, wash our clothes, dishes, prepare dinner…and I don’t do all of these things everyday. So, whenever I don’t have anything to do, I finish my cross stitch, watch television shows, movies, play computer and PSP games and text my friends (which by the way I don’t normally do when I have work…sorry friends).

I can’t stay long using the Internet which is kinda frustrating for a “surf the net” addict like me. I used my phone as a modem and I have to pay Php5 per 15min and it is already costing me a lot of money. My husband agreed to have a broadband connection and we are still deciding whether to get Sky Cable, Globe or Smart. I already called Globe early this morning and they will have a survey here three to five days from now. I haven’t called Sky Cable yet, I think Sky Cable is the best option for us…its just that, the last time I heard it is not available in our area. But I need to recheck it, because a few weeks ago, a note came up to our television screen about the Sky Cable Broadband…I’m crossing my fingers!

Disney Channel Enthusiast

Yup! I'm 25 years old, married and a mom but here I am...still enjoying my fave channel on Earth...tanan...Disney Channel. Huh! I'm a living proof of the cliche..."Young at heart." Hahaha! Anyways, here are the programs that I love most.

Hannah Montana

At first, I was like...Hannah Montana?! Why is this show so famous...nothing special about that girl...and then I watched the show...and now I say...Hannah Montana rocks! I love the show so much that I don't notice my husband when I'm watching it. It is so hilarious and I think the show is also good for teenagers. It gives us valuable lessons. It tackles issues about major concerns our teenagers are facing today. My fave character is Lilly, bestfriend of Hannah. She's so cute. You can visit Disney Channel site for more information of this show, www.disneychannel-asia.com.

The Wizards of Waverly Place

The show is about the siblings Justin, Alex and Max whom like their father, possess magical powers. These three are wizards in training, because in each wizard family, only one person can keep their powers when they grow up, so they are preparing for the final battle to determine who will keep the powers. Each character has a different persona that makes the show interesting. My favorite character is Justin Russo, not the coolest boy in school but very intelligent and responsible. Just the other day, I found out that they are also offering books for avid fans. I saw a book displayed in National Bookstore, the funny thing about it, later that night I watched the episode on Disney Channel. So, I guess i'll have to stick on watching it.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

As the title implies, this show is about Zack and Cody. They live in the Tipton Hotel and they have lots of adventures as they make this hotel as their own playground causing mayhem and a lot of catastrohies but still there are lessons to be learned.

Totally Spies

First show I'm very fond of watching on this channel. I tried looking up on the Disney Channel website about this show and I did not find any. So, I tried Google...and there, the show is under Cartoon Network...ahmmm! This show stars three teenaged superspies from Beverly Hills: Sam, Clover, and Alex, who fight international crime with their special gadgets supplied by their boss, Jerry, a member of the secret World Organization Of Human Protection (WOOHP) agency. My fave character is Sam. The show has a lot of girl power to offer.

A Filipino product

Bibili ka ba?
(Just got the pic from TARA forum.)

On being judgmental...

Unconsciously we choose how we see people. When we like someone, we are tolerant. When we don't like, we focus on their faults. It's not other people true persona that determines how we feel about them; it's our attitude, the human tendency to prejudge.

Just got from TARA forum.

TV Buff

TARA 3

I'm an avid fan of TARA since this show was launch...i'm not a fan of the first Filipino partaker of TARA...mainly because they're not competitive. Love Marc and Rovilson though. Its just sad that they did not pull it off on the finale. Moving forward, Geoff and Tisha is not as competitive as the second team but i'm glad they were able to strategize. At first I did not like them, I was disappointed how Tisha always make "paganda" during the show, putting make up, doing her hair...which she really doesn't have too, she will get dirty anyways. When other teams started to pick on them..huh...I started rooting for this team. I like what Geoff said on the finale..."We are the Super Couple for this season."

TAR 13

Show just ended last night...i'm originally rooting for Toni and Dallas but sadly they were the last team eliminated before the final three. Should have won the race but luck is really not on their side. My husband chose the frat boys Andrew and Dan because they're funny but withdrew quickly after watching the second leg. Among the three finalist we like Ken and Tina. We're glad that even though they did not win the race they have each other back. It was really a tearjerking moment when Ken pulled out their wedding ring and put it on Tina's fingers who is crying. Even Phil, the host of the show cried, my husband won't admit that he did too...hehehe!

Canada's Next Top Model

I thought I will be able to watch the finale of CNTM, di pala. They have aired the last two epi on the same day and I have work then. Just found out over the net that Sisi, my fave came third. I don't know why I always go for the underdogs. She has a very strong personality that everyone hates. And almost everyone was against her. Judges say that what you will not like about her will also be the same thing you'll love about her. She's good on pictorials. Andrea won, she's friend with Sisi, so I guess i'm fine with that. They have a new season now...I now have a bet but still i'll check if she's good.

Chuck

So, glad Season 2 is out. For those who doesn't know the show, this is from Wikipedia.

"The series is about an "average computer-whiz-next-door" who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend now working in the CIA; the message embeds the only remaining copy of the world's greatest spy secrets into Chuck's brain."

Funny Call Center Experiences

These are so hilarious. Got it from www.bootstrike.com.

Travel Centre

Customer: "I've been ringing 0700 2300 for two days and can't get through to enquiries, can you help?".
Operator: "Where did you get that number from, sir?".
Customer: "It was on the door to the Travel Centre".
Operator: "Sir, they are our opening hours".

Breathing

On another occasion, a man making heavy breathing sounds from a phone box told a worried operator:

"I haven't got a pen, so I'm steaming up the window to write the number on".

Right Click

Tech Support: "I need you to right-click on the Open Desktop".
Customer: "OK".
Tech Support: "Did you get a pop-up menu?".
Customer: "No".
Tech Support: "OK. Right-Click again. Do you see a pop-up menu?"
Customer: "No".
Tech Support: "OK, sir. Can you tell me what you have done up until this point?".
Customer: "Sure. You told me to write 'click' and I wrote 'click'".

Time Machine

Caller: "I deleted a file from my PC last week and I have just realized that I need it. If I turn my system clock back two weeks will I have my file back again?"

Nothing on screen

This has got to be one of the funniest things in a long time. I think this guy should have been Promoted, not fired. This is a true story from the Word Perfect Helpline, which was transcribed from a recording monitoring the customer care department. Needless to say the Help Desk employee was fired; however, he/she is currently suing the Word Perfect organization for "Termination without Cause".

Actual dialogue of a former WordPerfect Customer Support employee. (Now I know why they record these conversations!):
Operator: "Ridge Hall, computer assistance; may I help you?"
Caller: "Yes, well, I'm having trouble with WordPerfect."
Operator: "What sort of trouble??"
Caller: "Well, I was just typing along, and all of a sudden the words went away."
Operator: "Went away?"
Caller: "They disappeared."
Operator: "Hmm. So what does your screen look like now?"
Caller: "Nothing."
Operator: "Nothing??"
Caller: "It's blank; it won't accept anything when I type."
Operator: "Are you still in WordPerfect, or did you get out??"
Caller: "How do I tell?"
Operator: "Can you see the C: prompt on the screen??"
Caller: "What's a sea-prompt?"
Operator: "Never mind, can you move your cursor around the screen?"
Caller: "There isn't any cursor: I told you, it won't accept anything I type."
Operator: "Does your monitor have a power indicator??"
Caller: "What's a monitor?"
Operator: "It's the thing with the screen on it that looks like a TV. Does it have a little light that tells you when it's on??"
Caller: "I don't know."
Operator: "Well, then look on the back of the monitor and find where the power cord goes into it. Can you see that??"
Caller: "Yes, I think so."
Operator: "Great. Follow the cord to the plug, and tell me if it's plugged into the wall.
Caller: "Yes, it is."
Operator: "When you were behind the monitor, did you notice that there were two cables plugged into the back of it, not just one??"
Caller: "No."
Operator: "Well, there are. I need you to look back there again and find the other cable."
Caller: "Okay, here it is."
Operator: "Follow it for me, and tell me if it's plugged securely into the back of your computer."
Caller: "I can't reach."
Operator: "Uh huh. Well, can you see if it is??"
Caller: "No."
Operator: "Even if you maybe put your knee on something and lean way over??"
Caller: "Oh, it's not because I don't have the right angle - it's because it's dark."
Operator: "Dark??"
Caller: "Yes - the office light is off, and the only light I have is coming in from the window." .
Operator: "Well, turn on the office light then."
Caller: "I can't."
Operator: "No? Why not??"
Caller: "Because there's a power failure."
Operator: "A power.................................. .... A power failure? Aha, Okay, we've got it licked now. Do you still have the boxes and manuals and packing stuff your computer came in??"
Caller: "Well, yes, I keep them in the closet."
Operator: "Good. Go get them, and unplug your system and pack it up just like it was when you got it. Then take it back to the store you bought it from."
Caller: "Really? Is it that bad?"
Operator: "Yes, I'm afraid it is."
Caller: "Well, all right then, I suppose. What do I tell them?"
Operator: "Tell them you're too stupid to own a computer."

True story from a Novell Net Wire Sysop:

Caller: "Hello, is this Tech Support?"

Tech: "Yes, it is. How may I help you?"

Caller: "The cup holder on my PC is broken and I am within my warranty period. How do I go about getting that fixed?"

Tech: "I'm sorry, but did you say a cup holder?"

Caller: "Yes, it's attached to the front of my computer."

Tech: "Please excuse me. If I seem a bit stumped, it's because I am. Did you receive this as part of a promotional at a trade show? How did you get this cup holder? Does it have any trademark on it?"

Caller: "It came with my computer. I don't know anything about a promotional. It just has '4X' on it."

At this point, the Tech Rep had to mute the caller because he couldn't stand it. He was laughing too hard. The caller had been using the load drawer of the CD-ROM drive as a cup holder and snapped it off the drive.
Prev: Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel

This is from Jelvie:

You never know when your guardian angel will be there for you so I have to try...

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for
that person..

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet
a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide
you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally
or spiritually.

They may seem like a Godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient
time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship
to an end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire
fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time
to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your
turn has come to share, grow or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you
must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what
you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of
your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Credit Unions are CREDIT-able

Right for the times? "A credit union is a cooperative financial institution that is owned and controlled by its members, and operated for the purpose of promoting thrift, providing credit at reasonable rates, and providing other financial services to its members." (Wikipedia)

Did I Marry the Right Person

Sent to me by Papa Bear (Berto), I want to share it to you.
Those who are still single may learn something from here...

Those who are already married may take it as a guideline to improve your marriage & relationship ...

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, 'How do I know if I married the right person?'
I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, 'It depends. Is that your husband?' In all seriousness, she answered 'How do you know?'

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind.

Here's the answer.
EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse / partner . You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit) .

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called 'falling' in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, 'I was swept of my feet.' Think about the imagery of that __expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy . It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria (excitement) of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, 'Did I marry the right person?' And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else.
You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT 'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't 'find' LASTING love. You have to 'make' it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression 'the labor of love.' Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable. ... you can 'make' love.

Love in marriage is indeed a 'decision'.. . Not just a feeling.

Remember this always:

'God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.'

On The Chris Matthews Show, November 16th Chris Matthews leads with: "`It's not my job.' We've got a financial Katrina on our hands. Recession and layoffs are pouring through the floodgates, and nobody's in charge. Bush looks retired, Barack Obama's not president. So who's protecting us?
"Mandate for change? When Reagan and Bush won, they charged ahead with a conservative vision. Will Obama do what Reagan and Bush did, do it big and bold no matter how tough the times? The Democrats are in the driver's seat. Shouldn't they drive?"

Awakening the blogger in me...

Wow! Hanep sa title.

I've been down and out...no time for blogging, but I'm so back with vengeance, hahaha! I'm here in my mom's house browsing news on the web and blog hopping again...my second best past time, next to exasperating my husband (it happens only if he's busy playing PSP and watching TV).

We'll move out from their house in Laguna this weekend. I'm hoping that in our new place there's an Internet signal. But for the meantime, excuse me if i'll post several blog entries in a day. Speaking of moving out, here's a pic of the apartment:

It is in Sucat near our office. I'm a bit scared and excited. Scared, maybe because it will only be the two of us. I'm really used to having someone older than me in the house. Who will take charge of everything. Excited, because of the same reason that it will only be me and my husband. Yohooo! Hahaha! Can't help this dirty mind of mine. Anyways, its hard to start a new family. We need to buy things for the house...from broomstick, hanger to appliances and kitchenware. Well, new beginning.

Ginebra...'D Best!

Last night was game 7 of the best of 7 Smart-PBA Fiesta Conference finals. Like i've said from my previous post, they were down 0-5 in the eliminations but a sudden change of events since the arrival of Chris Alexander, Ginebra's third import for this season. The team was able to win 8 games in a row. Making another record as the third team who made a number of consecutive wins. Just for information, Crispa had 14 consecutive wins back in 1983 then 1982 13 consecutive wins. Next is Alaska, who also had 8 consecutive wins tying up with Ginebra. Never say die talaga!

My fave of course is Chris Alexander, whom fans fondly call "Toothpick." Hey, I would not mind a toothpick as cute and as good as him. Hehehe!

What Hand Gesture Are You?

You Are a Thumbs Up

Your life philosophy can be summed up as, "Tomorrow is another day."

Your greatest wish is for everyone to be content with what they have.

You are naturally content and optimistic. You encourage people to be happy.

Even if life isn't perfect, you believe that life is what you make of it!

Identity -- You

Ain't it grand ... we're all different and all alike ... and as we move through our lives we have magnificent changes ... we are what we are ... and we change when we change ... and just maybe our networks of peeps help guide our progress.

The following is for those that have been dNeero-ites for a while ... we hope that your answers will make your social networks a little bit more active.

Go! Go! Ginebra

From a 0-5 standing to 12 straight wins...Ginebra has proven once again that they are one unstoppable team. After winning last Sunday (July 27) game, they are now waiting for Magnolia vs Air 21 best of 7 game. Nga pala, sweep nila ang best of 7 game nila versus Redbull.

Citizenship Marketplace

This is a follow up to the "Citizenship For Sale?" conversation. In the first conversation, many folks were concerned about the morality of selling their own citizenship ... that concern is right on target and it was pleasant to see our dNeeroites question that possibility. However, Nobel Laureate Gary Becker's proposal has to do with the U.S. government selling the right to legal immigration. Can such a proposal work in the U.S. ... could it work for other countries? Can the law of supply and demand work to solve immigration problems?

Citzenship For Sale?

What if the United States began charging for the legal right to immigrate? Nobel Laureate Gary Becker (University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business) came up with the idea. Becker's not trying to eject illegal workers; in fact, he said, they could pay to stay. The idea is to upend the existing black market that exacts a high price for illegal immigrants -- some who pay with their lives.
Note: this is not about allowing individuals to sell their citizenship; it is about suggesting that market forces could more efficiently execute immigration policy.

Tax or No Tax

A way to immediately deal with high gasoline prices in the U.S.

Gas Station Convenience

Do we get our gas at a place where we can get a lot more done? We're on the move and but when we staop we like to make the most of it ... or it may be better to find a speacialist store rather than opt for convenience.

Random Comments

I have been watching a lot of TV shows lately (mana na sa asawa)...hehehe! I've been dying to post my comments here. Some of the events are so delayed already, nevertheless i'll still post them.

PBB Teen Edition Plus

It is no surprise that the Big Four turned out to be two boys and two girls, Beauty, Ejay, Nicole and Robi. I'm glad by the way that Robi was one of them. I just noticed that Atenista always made it to the final four. Lagi pang second placer. That's how they support their schoolmate...or maybe they are really likable naman talaga and they deserve to be part of it.

Ejay "Promdi Hottie of Mindoro" Falcon garnered 620,934 text votes or 36.31% of the total votes, 2nd Placer Teen Big Winner Robi "True Blue Atenista" Domingo got 34.39%. Nikki "In-chick of Cebu" Uysiuseng was the 3rd Teen Big Winner with 18.39% of the votes while Beauty "Rebellious Beauty of Dumaguete" Gonzales was 4th Placer.

At the start of the show, Robi was ahead of the text votes but a few minutes before voting ended votes for Ejay started to heap up.

I'm glad the Big Winner this time is a guy...for a change. But why is it that we always vote for the person who needs the money most? Maybe its Filipino's nature. Nevertheless, i'm fine with the result.

American Idol Season 7

Congratulations David Cook!

I like him than David Archuleta...David Archleta is good but David Cook is so much more talented. He has been one of the best from this season and he sticks to his genre. I watched his performances on You Tube, he's cute and talented.

I'm surprised that Renaldo Lapuz got the chance to perform his song We're Brothers Forever, on the finale night. What can I say for my "kababayan"...he doesn't have to be in to perform on the finale night...Mabuhay ka! (americanidol.com thanks for the pics)

NBA The Finals

I'm overwhelmed that Lakers won the West Conference and got to play on the finals versus Celtics. Standing is 2-1 in favor of Celtics. Hopefully on Game Four Lakers will be able to tie the game. My husband love both teams but I like Lakers to win. Go! Go! Go! Lakers.

PBA

I am rooting for Ginebra...well, eversince! I'm glad that my husband is doing also the same thing. I know they are way behind because of picking the wrong import at the start of the game but they are coping right now with their new import Alexander. They won last night's game versus Purefoods...way to go, guys!

HammeRuler ... It's new, really new!

We often come across products that initially look like a good idea, but then we realize that the inventor, producer, and marketer really haven't asked those that will use it to get involved in the development. So, we're going to avoid this mistake -- with your help, of course.
